SQB is available under the BSD 3-Clause License (SPDX: BSD-3-Clause), copyright Panates.

SQB was relicensed from Apache License 2.0 to BSD 3-Clause in v6.0.9 (September 2026). Releases before that remain under Apache 2.0. The README files shipped inside the npm packages still state an MIT license — that is a documentation mistake. The license SQB is actually published under, as declared in every package's package.json ("license": "BSD-3-Clause") and the repository's LICENSE file, is BSD 3-Clause.
